Artist Statement
“I am so beyond honored to collaborate with Wildlife Asia/Pardicolor in their unwavering commitment to the conservation of endangered animals through our joint project #WeAllHaveTheRightToThrive. When Demelza & Tabitha (Wildlife Asia + Pardicolor) presented their inspiring vision, as a passionate animal lover I was immediately touched by their team's dedication to protect these vulnerable creatures and their innovative approaches to raise awareness and vital funds. The challenges faced by endangered animals are deeply rooted in human impact, from poaching and the illegal wildlife trade to the loss of their habitats due to land conversion. It is our collective responsibility to recognize the immense value these species hold, not only for their immense beauty but also for the vital role they play in maintaining the delicate balance of our ecosystems. I firmly believe that we should be humbled to share our planet with these extraordinary beings, and their protection is paramount. By safeguarding endangered animals, we are safeguarding the very fabric of our interconnected world. Beyond the ethical imperative, there are clear environmental benefits tied to the conservation of endangered animals. Preserving these majestic creatures helps maintain balanced ecosystems, where food chains remain intact, and natural processes thrive. Such ecosystems have the remarkable ability to lower carbon, playing a vital role in mitigating climate change and preserving the health and well-being of our planet. Through my art, I aim to shine a spotlight on the plight of endangered animals and ignite a sense of empathy and urgency. Drawing inspiration from their diversity, vulnerability, and resilience, I created the piece to hopefully evoke a deep connection with these remarkable species. By intertwining the power of artistry and conservation, I strive to raise awareness, spark dialogue, and inspire action in support of their preservation. Collaborating closely with PARDICOLOR/Wildlife Asia, I am driven to utilize the transformative power of art to amplify the voices of endangered animals. Together, we can create a collective movement that fosters appreciation, understanding, and unwavering commitment to their protection.
