Artist Statement

“I am honoured to collaborate with Wildlife Asia to raise funds for tiger conservation project [#OurWorldNeedsWild]. When Demelza (Wildlife Asia + Pardicolor) pitched the idea I was immediately struck by her team's dedication to protect these iconic big cats and to find new and interesting ways to raise awareness and funding to do so! It won't come as much surprise that 'human impact' is the major threat to wild tiger populations. Whether it's poaching, the illegal wildlife trade or simply the reduction in viable habitats due to land conversion. This, combined with the fact that we should be honoured to share a planet with such a majestic creature are reason enough to protect them in my eyes but, there are also clear environmental benefits in doing so! Apex predators keep food chains in check so safeguarding large mammals, like tigers, can help maintain a balanced ecosystem, and a balanced and diverse ecosystem is able to draw down more carbon! No brainer! I guess what I’m saying is buy a print, or donate and join the struggle to save wild tigers! It’s a huge task in some of these areas. 100% of the profits from the sale of this artwork will help Wildlife Asia protect wild tigers in 2022 ‘Year Of The Tiger’. “

Why choose this print?
