'Voices Above Water' is an innovative art-based reflection card set that addresses the topic of climate anxiety and eco-mental health. The project aims to support individuals as they navigate the complex relationship between climate change, mental well-being, and personal responsibility. The reflection cards incorporate creative arts prompts and reflective questions that encourage participants to engage with their experiences related to the environment, climate, and mental health. The Voices Above Water reflection cards have been used in a series of youth workshops across Spain, Slovakia and the UK, helping emerging voices foster innovative and creative ways to process feelings about climate change and to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the interrelatedness of environmental and social issues. Through this project, we were able to ignite the power of creative arts, not as an accessory on gallery walls but as a tool to help empower individuals to take meaningful action on the issue of climate change, while also supporting them on their journeys towards eco-mental health and wellbeing. - Ally.
